Grounding Myst | Pine Hydrosol
Pine is glorious to ground into the present, to help grieving hearts, and to use in general aromatherapy purposes.
This Grounding Myst, or Pine Hydrosol, is extracted from a steam distillation of Pinus lambertiana (Sugar Pine) needles, and offers a fresh, invigorating scent reminiscent of a forest breeze.
It has astringent and purifying qualities, which help to cleanse and tone the skin while promoting a clear complexion. Its invigorating aroma can help uplift the mood and create a sense of mental clarity.
Pine is also, beautifully, one of the best plant medicines to gently hold those grieving. It is a strong ally for the lungs, where grief tends to live, as taught in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM); it energetically enables the body to release.
This myst be used as a skin fragrance, a facial toner, an aftershave, hair refresher, deodorant, or room fragrance/refresher. You can also use them in a diffuser (yes, the same kind you use for Essential Oils, or EOs). To do this, just pour hydrosol into the container and dilute 1/3-1/2 with water. Or just go for it and infuse as is. It is heavenly!
Unlike Essential Oils, Mysts can be used directly on the skin.
Mysts can also be used to energetically cleanse spaces, rooms, or people. You can ground your energy and your spirit by spraying before or after meditation, bringing you back to the present moment.
