Grounding Myst | Western Red Cedar Hydrosol
Let the scent transport you directly to the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest
Western Red Cedar is the tree that called my soul to the Pacific Northwest decades ago. She sent seeds on the etheric winds into my midwestern heart that slowly germinated until the day arrived that I could no longer resist the pull.
Have you ever watched the way her fronds sway in the winds? Been intoxicated by her deliciously clean and primordial scent when you walk into the forest and find a tree that’s freshly fallen, graciously pouring her fragrance into the air?
Like the Redwoods, the mysts and oils produced in communion with Cedar are well-suited for ceremonial use and anointing the body. They pair beautifully with the deep work of the soul and plant medicine journey work and integration.
This gorgeous myst, made from a water and steam distillation of Thuja plicata fronds ethically harvested from the forest floor, can be used as a skin fragrance, a facial toner, an aftershave, hair refresher, deodorant, or room fragrance/refresher. You can also use them in a diffuser (yes, the same kind you use for Essential Oils, or EOs). To do this, just pour hydrosol into the container and dilute 1/3-1/2 with water. Or just go for it and infuse as is. It is heavenly!
Unlike Essential Oils, Mysts can be used directly on the skin.
Mysts can also be used to energetically cleanse spaces, rooms, or people. You can ground your energy and your spirit by spraying before or after meditation, bringing you back to the present moment. They can be used in much the same way that sacred smokes (White Sage, Palo Santo, Rosemary, Mugwort, Juniper, Cedar, etc.) are used and are really handy when you cannot produce smoke or light anything on fire.
All of the hydrosols, or mysts as I like to call them, in my collection are made from steam and water distilling pounds of fresh plant material with spring water in an Artisanal Portuguese Copper Alembic Still.
This listing is for a 2 oz spray bottle of Western Red Cedar Grounding Myst
