Magical Myst | Tulsi Hydrosol for the Face and Skin
One of the highest respected plants in Ayurveda, Tulsi holds a seemingly endless potential to heal, purify and elevate the body, mind and spirit. This plant is revered in India as a sacred plant and is worshipped everyday as a goddess, in her own right.
This gorgeous myst, is extracted from a steam distillation of Ocimum tenuiflorum (Tulsi) flowers and leafs that I lovingly grow and tend. You may also know this gorgeous spicy and sweet fragranced plant as Holy Basil… the names are often used interchangeably and refer to the same cultivar.
This hydrosol really shines as a facial toner, but can also be used as a room spray to create a comforting environment for gentle aromatherapy. The scent of this magnificent plant is both stimulating and awakening.
Tulsi myst can help to cleanse, rejuvenate & purify all skin, especially aging, dull, neglected, or blemished skin. It’s anti-inflammatory, full of antioxidants, is antibacterial, and is a general tonic. It can also be used to help wounds heal faster and to help both with an itchy scalp and underlying conditions that create dandruff.
To Use:
Mist face with 5-10 sprays of hydrosol & press onto skin. It can be used throughout the day to tone, hydrate & refresh.
In the morning, you can use the myst as a cleanser, simply saturate skin and gently patting dry with a clean cloth.
You can also mix the myst with a serum or facial moisturizer, then massage gently onto your skin.
For an extra nice touch, keep this in the refrigerator for a nice, cool mist.
This myst can also be used as a skin fragrance, a facial toner, an aftershave, hair refresher, deodorant, or room fragrance/refresher. You can also use them in a diffuser (yes, the same kind you use for Essential Oils, or EOs). To do this, just pour hydrosol into the container and dilute 1/3-1/2 with water. Or just go for it and infuse as is. It is heavenly!
Unlike Essential Oils, Mysts can be used directly on the skin.
Mysts can also be used to energetically cleanse spaces, rooms, or people. You can ground your energy and your spirit by spraying before or after meditation, bringing you back to the present moment. They can be used in much the same way that sacred smokes (White Sage, Palo Santo, Rosemary, Mugwort, Juniper, Cedar, etc.) are used and are really handy when you cannot produce smoke or light anything on fire.
