Awaken Myst | Peppermint Hydrosol
Awaken Myst, or Peppermint Hydrosol, will awaken your senses, cool your body, tone your skin, and refresh your spirit!
Awaken Myst is both revitalizing and refreshing! It can be used liberally on the face and the body as a general cooler or toner for the skin. It’s wonderful to inhale deeply if you have a headache going; peppermint has been shown in countless studies to help with headaches! The cooling effects it provides inhibit muscle contractions in the head and neck while also stimulating blood flow to the area.
This hydrosol is also wonderful sprayed on feet after a long day of standing, walking, or overall soreness. The refreshing sensations are especially amplified if you keep this myst in the refrigerator. Alternatively, add in a few tablespoons to an evening foot soak!
It is a great astringent toner for the face and skin, especially for those times when you need a little extra pep in your step!
Peppermint has a long and valued history in aromatherapeutic applications, with the dried leaves found inside the tombs of ancient Egypt. Peppermint is energizing, uplifting, and cooling.
This myst can be used as a skin fragrance, a facial toner, an aftershave, hair refresher, deodorant, or room fragrance/refresher. You can also use them in a diffuser (yes, the same kind you use for Essential Oils, or EOs). To do this, just pour hydrosol into the container and dilute 1/3-1/2 with water. Or just go for it and infuse as is. It is heavenly!
Unlike Essential Oils, Mysts can be used directly on the skin.
Mysts can also be used to energetically cleanse spaces, rooms, or people. You can ground your energy and your spirit by spraying before or after meditation, bringing you back to the present moment. They can be used in much the same way that sacred smokes (White Sage, Palo Santo, Rosemary, Mugwort, Juniper, Cedar, etc.) are used and are really handy when you cannot produce smoke or light anything on fire.
All of the hydrosols, or mysts as I like to call them, in my collection are made from steam and water distilling pounds of fresh plant material with spring water in an Artisanal Portuguese Copper Alembic Still.
